Enriching our Tourism Industry by promoting our cultural heritage sites, like the ones in Intramuros. In the recent issues in our country, the hostage crisis for example, takes toll on our tourism industry, which is a great contributor to our economy. In fact, we should not consider it as a threat but as an opportunity to show and prove the world what Filipinos are capable of, especially in one of our forte, hospitality. Being in this industry makes me proud of being a Filipino, and before making any actions, we should be proud being a Filipino first!

Honestly the hostage crisis as it relates to tourism is the last of your worries. Corruption is what is preventing tourists, when a police pulls an American over on the road and asks for a “Tip”, “Christmas Gift”, Bribe that tourist will never be back. That exact example is one I have personally experienced.

What this country needs to do starting today, right now, this very minute, is teach your children proper values so they don’t become that police asking for a TIP. Better values need to be taught in the earliest of school years, it should already be taught in the homes. But is it? At the very least, it is not in the area where I live. I’m the father of a 2 year old here, I regularly have to teach him it’s not nice to take other children’s toys. What is Corruption? It’s someone taking money from someone else when they didn’t work for it, don’t deserve it, and are a disgrace to their entire community because the community didn’t teach these corrupt people better when they were children. DAMN IT!

You guys here go on and on about how important family is, really? You condemn Americans because of “Retirement Homes” (actually you have it all wrong, later discussion), but you fail to teach your children those values which will make them a better, more successful human being. Come ON????
